"There’s something ethereal about the Outer Banks that I think I subconsciously try to capture on camera. Anyone who spends time in nature can experience it. Queer people in particular tend to find spirituality and refuge in nature, often having grown up feeling excluded from traditional religious spaces and other parts of society. I wanted to show something that connects us all."
